Tonight's Big Matchups 04/15

Via: BostonHerald.com

Not sure what which game to watch tonight in the NHL? Here's a look at a few of tonight's big matchups.

Dallas Stars @ Chicago Blackhawks: Both teams head into this one on 5 game winning streaks and want to keep it going. The Hawks goaltenders have been outstanding, with only 5 goals against during that streak. Dallas will be looking to keep pace with Detroit and a win would move them back into the top 8 in the West. However, the Hawks thumped the Stars 8-1 in their last meeting. Prediction: 4-1 Hawks

Vancouver Canucks @ Nashville Predators: The Canucks look to get back on track after a heartbreak loss against the Avalanche on Saturday, conceding the game winning goal with 7 seconds left. Back-up goalie Roberto Luongo will get the start against the Preds, who are on a 6 game losing streak and could be eliminated tonight. Prediction: 2-1 Nucks

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Colorado Avalanche: Marion Gaborik has been great since coming to Columbus from New York, netting 6 points in 6 games as the Jackets continue their unlikely playoff push. Meanwhile, the bottom feeding Avs have shown more pride and effort lately, picking up points in 3 consecutive games (2-0-1) against 3 of the top teams in the West. Prediction: 4-2 Jackets

Thanks for reading, please leave a comment to let WAAP know who you think will win tonight! I'll leave you with your evening gif, Leaf Nazem Kadri with a huge hit on Lars Eller of the Habs:

  1. Hard to really call a game against the Bruins with 14/15 wins :D
Hope the Hawks and Avs win their games, Nashville luckily won't matter anymore for the playoff race, with all their players out, I don't see why the Nucks shouldn't beat them.

And man, Kadri is a beast haha!

  2. As you've already said "The Bruins haven't lost three straight all season", the team looked a tired last week (a bit too much) but I don't think we're gonna drop any point tonight. Marchand is back on the ice this morning and Bergeron might be back in the lineup tonight, which would be a huge extra motivation for the rest of the team.

  3. Which is exactly why I think they're in for a letdown tonight.
