Pittsburgh Penguins @ Boston Bruins (12:30pm ET): It'll be an early start in Boston for this game which was postponed from yesterday. The Bruins have been on a bit of a skid lately, and it's understandable given what the players and city have gone through. You can expect though, with some closure, that the Bruins will be fired up in front of an emotional crowd. The Pens meanwhile continue to roll even without Sidney Crosby, and there's a good chance Evgeni Malkin could be in the lineup today. Prediction: 4-3 Bruins.
New York Islanders @ Winnipeg Jets (3:00pm ET): There is no game tonight with greater playoff implications than this one. The Isles sit just 3 points up on the 9th place Jets. A loss tonight could spell the end of the season for the Jets, while a win would put them even in points with the Rangers for the last playoff spot. It'll be a tough test against an Islander squad that has gotten points in 11 of it's last 12 games. Prediction: 3-1 Isles
Washington Capitals @ Montreal Canadiens (7:00pm ET): There's been no love lost between these two teams since the Habs eliminated the Caps from the playoffs in 2010. Though both are currently leading their divisions, neither is in a comfortable position. The Habs have Boston and Toronto breathing down their necks for both the division title and possibly home ice in the first round. The Caps are in an even more precarious position sitting just 2 points ahead of Winnipeg and the playoff line. Prediction: 3-2 Habs
Toronto Maple Leafs @ Ottawa Senators (7:00pm ET): Even though the Sens sit in 6th place, they are in no way a lock to make the playoffs. They'll need to pick up some points to stay ahead of the surging teams behind them. Though things look a little better in Toronto, a recent two game losing streak in which they allowed 10 goals has people concerned. I still expect both teams to make the playoffs however, and this game will be huge for determining seeding. Prediction: 4-2 Leafs
Detroit Red Wings @ Vancouver Canucks (10:00pm ET): The Canucks return home from a 5 game road trip which they finished 2-2-1. With injuries to key blueliners Keven Bieksa and Chris Tanev, things have been in a bit of disarray for Vancouver on the backend. Detroit meanwhile is a very despite team at the moment, with only one regulation win in their last 7 and sitting outside the playoff picture. Games between these two teams are always awesome, and expect both to try to re-assert their dominance tonight. Prediction: 4-3 Wings
