Tonight's Playoff Match-up 02/06

Los Angeles Kings @ Chicago Blackhawks (8:00pmET)
TV: TSN, RDS, NBCSN
Series: 1-0 Hawks
After playing last night in a double header to open the NHL conference finals, the Hawks and Kings are right back at it again tonight. If the Kings are hoping to avoid going down 2-0 in a series for the second time in this post season, they're going to need to find more offense than they did in game one. LA fired only 22 shots on Hawks goalie Corey Crawford compared to the 36 shots by Chicago. With the way that Crawford has been playing this post-season, that's just not enough. There's going to be tons of pressure on the Kings top snipers Mike Richards, Jeff Carter and Anze Kopitar. Even though Richards is leading the Kings in scoring, he only has 2 goals through 14 games, same as Kopitar. For Chicago, they just have to play the same game they did last night to get another victory. They were strong on the puck, had quick breakouts and, if it weren't for King's goalie Jonathan Quick, they could have easily potted a few more goals last night. The Hawks will want to keep the momentum of game one going, and stretch their winning streak to five games. As of now there are no lineup changes for either side, though some are keeping an eye on the situation with Richards. Near the end of game one he took a huge hit behind the net from Chicago forward Dave Bolland and appeared to be somewhat dazed afterwards. The assumption is that he'll play, he's a warrior...but how much it will affect him tonight remains to be seen.
Prediction: 3-2 Hawks.
