Tonight's Playoff Match-up 24/05
Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins (7:30pm ET)
TV: NBCSN, CBC, RDS
Series: 3-1 Penguins
There's no doubt that the Senators are in trouble tonight. Pittsburgh is absolutely humming on offense lately and has a chance to close out the series tonight on home ice. If Ottawa is to have any chance, goalie Craig Anderson must play the game of his life and hold the fort as long as possible. Anderson has been pulled in two of the last three games and must reverse that trend for his team to have a chance. They'll be looking for captain Daniel Alfredsson to lead them on offense, in what might be the final game of his career tonight. He has ten points this post-season, including goals in consecutive games. The Penguins are led up front, as usual, by Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, who both have 14 points. Tomas Vokoun, who has won 5 of his 6 starts since taking over for Marc-Andre Fleury, will get the start again tonight opposite Anderson.
Prediction: 4-2 Penguins.
